2010-03-09 - have an older steelcase

2009-09-03 - I'm very close to purchasing but I have a few more questions first. Where do the chairs for refurbishing come from? What's the difference in Versions 1 & 2? Does the return policy allow for caster wear (which would be unavoidable to use the chair enough to know that it works well for me)? Are the chairs recovered only if they need it or do you automatically recover each one? How old are most of your chairs? - I sat in a new one recently and do not know how the Leap models may have changed over time. I had emailed these questions a couple of days ago but haven't received a response. This is why I'm using the blog. Thank you.

POA: We buy used Leap chairs on the open market from businesses either downsizing, closing, or remodeling. Version 2 chairs have a thinner profile arm which also moves front to back along with in and out, side to side, and up and down; higher density foam in the back and seat, and a higher back than the standard version 1. The return policy does take into account caster wear, we want you to try the chair and be satisfied with your decision. The fabric on the chairs is only changed if needed. We use a very extensive cleaning method to remove any dust or stains from the chairs and to get them to look like brand new. Leap version 1 chairs are a least 3 years old. Version 2 chairs are anywhere from 3 years to 4 months old. It is important to note that all of our chairs go through a rigorous 29 point inspection by factory trained professionals. When you get your chair it will look and operate like new. We are so sure about it that we give each chair a 12 year warranty.

2009-08-29 - I'm curious about the Refurbished chairs? Are they as good as the new ones?

POA: The chairs are just as good if not better. You will be hard pressed to be able to tell these chairs from new. A trained seating technician goes over every chair checking not only the look, but also all the adjustments and chair functionality.
